Atlanta Airport or the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is 13 km or 8 miles from downtown Atlanta. However, this major airport serves neighboring districts and counties. Hence, to make your journey to and from the airport comfortable and easy, Atlanta Airport offers a host of transport options by road and rail.

Train

The ATL SkyTrain operates 24 x7 and connects to the GICC, the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway, SpringHill Suites Atlanta Airport Gateway, and the Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway Hotel.

As for regional trains, Amtrak is available at 1688 Peachtree St. NW in Atlanta.

Bus to airport

The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) operates Atlanta's local public transportation system and Greyhound Flightlink provides transportation services from the Airport to selected cities and states.

Airport taxi

The cab service is situated in the Yellow bus aisle and the fee is set for transport between the Airport and the central business district. A special per-person rate applies for two or more passengers.

Taxi service to Downtown, Buckhead, and Midtown ranges from $30 to $40, however, $2 charge for each additional person. Flag Drop Fee $ 1.50.

Pre- booked Transfer, Limo Service

Car Rentals: These are some of the authorized dealers present at the airport: Advantage, Airport Rent a Car, Alamo, Avis, Budget Car Rental, Dollar Rent A Car, EZ Rent a Car, and more.

Airport Shuttle: This shuttle leaves every 15 minutes from stalls 3 through 10 from the airport and goes to Atlanta central business district: Downtown, Midtown and Buckhead. Depending on the location, the fares vary from $16.50 to $30 per person.

Local Shuttle: This shuttle serves cities in Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett counties and runs every 15 minutes.

Regional Shuttle: It leaves every 30 minutes to an hour and provides service to areas outside of the five metro Atlanta counties and states bordering Georgia.

Hotel Shuttle: Hotels surrounding the airport offer free shuttle service to and from the Airport. It is available on the Purple aisle in the Ground Transportation area at the west end of the Domestic Terminal (West curb). The West curb is outside between the Domestic North and Domestic South terminals.

Rideshare: After baggage claim, passengers head towards the Georgia Lottery booth for access to the lower-level escalators. Once downstairs, follow the orange signs to the Economy lot and request a ride only after arrival at the pick-up location.
